The Georgia Judicial Retirement System was created by legislation and made effective July 1, 1998. This System is for current and future members/retirees of the Superior Court Judges Retirement System, the District Attorneys Retirement System, and the Trial Judges and Solicitors Retirement Fund (referred to as "predecessor systems’) and certain employees of the Attorney General/Legislative Counsel.
