GSEPS Employer Match: Law Enforcement Officers
Enhanced Retirement Benefit and Eligibility Information
Effective July 1, 2026, eligible Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) members may qualify for enhanced employer matching contributions through the GSEPS Peach State Reserves (PSR) 401(k) Plan under Senate Bill 452.
This enhanced LEO employer match provides eligible law enforcement officers with an opportunity to increase retirement savings and strengthen long-term financial security.
Employers will match member contributions dollar per dollar. Eligible LEOs who contribute at least 5% to their Peach State Reserves 401(k) Plan begin receiving increased employer matching contributions after six years of Creditable Service. The LEO employer match increases by 2% (instead of 0.5%) each year based on years of Creditable Service until it reaches a maximum employer match of 15%.
