As a State of Georgia employee, retiree, or beneficiary, we encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to explore the Governor’s Mansion and participate in its events. It’s a great way to spend quality time with friends and family while experiencing a piece of Georgia’s history!

State agencies are also welcome to take employees to tour the Governor’s Mansion for groups of 10 or more, advance registration is required. So, make sure you register your event in advance!

The Georgia Governor’s Mansion, known as “The People’s House,” is a three-floor, 30-room, Greek Revival style home built in 1967. From the Federal Period collection of furniture, artwork, and décor, to the lush, manicured grounds, the Mansion is one of Georgia’s finest landmarks and a place you should visit this summer!

Located in northeast Atlanta, the Governor’s Mansion is more than just a home for Georgia’s Governor, it is also a rich cultural experience for everyone – and it’s free to tour! 

In addition to regular tours, the Governor’s Mansion hosts annual events that are open to the public:

Pet Adoption Days:
Partnering with humane societies and rescue organizations to find loving homes for pets.

Easter Egg Hunts:
A festive tradition for families to enjoy.

Holiday Tours:
Experience the Mansion beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. 

The Governor’s Mansion is located at 391 West Paces Ferry Rd. NW. Public tours are conducted during the months of February-October and December on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Reservations are needed for groups of 10 or more. The Mansion is closed in November to decorate for Christmas.
